Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons whole green grams (Moong Dal)
  • 3 cups chopped spinach
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 2 chopped green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons oil

METHOD

  • Wash the Spinach and grams (dal) and put it in a vessel with half a cup of water and cook.
  • After 10-15 minutes when both the ingredients are cooked, remove and wash them with cold water.
  • Squeeze out all the excess water and grind to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion, chilli and tomatoes.
  • Put in the salt and sugar. Stir.
  • Add the spinach paste and mix well.
  • Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
