Mothers Recipe Khaman Dhokla, 180gms
Dhokla a very popular Gujarati delicacy, well known for its irresistible taste and flavour. Prepared using only the freshest ingredients and a mother’s magical touch. Serve with green coriander chutney.

Ingredients: Gram Flour, Sugar, Semolina, Raising Agent (INS 500(ii)), Acidity Regulators (INS 330 & INS 262(ii)), Wheat Flour, Edible Common Salt and Turmeric Powder.
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1 – Blend 1 cup ( 250 ml) water with 2 tbsp oil (25 ml). Pour this in to Khaman Dhokla Mix gradually, Blend gently
Step 2 – Immediately pour batter in Dhokala thali or tray greased with oil.
Step 3 – Stream on high flame for 15 minutes. If pressure cooker is used do not apply weight/whistle. Remove & allow to cool for 5 – 7 minutes. Cut in to 4 – 5 cm cubes.
Mother’s tip: For vaghar heat 2 – 3 tbsp oil, add 1 tsp mustard seeds when mustard crackles add 2 – 3 chopped green chillies, 1/2 tsp sesame seeds and pinch of hing, 1 – 2 tbsp sugar & 50 ml water. Bring contents to boil. Mix & pour evenly on Dhokla. Garnish with fresh grated coconut & chopped green coriander leaves.
Serving Suggestion: Serve with green coriander chutney.
